The American Artists Professional League has awarded Marianne Knipe the AAPL President's Award for excellence of work exhibited at the 90th Grand National Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in NYC, November 2018. Jury of Awards-Stephanie L. Hendrich, Ph.D, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

A workshop, Pastel Painting, was given by Knipe in Ljubljana, Slovenia in October 2017.
June 2016
Marianne Knipe was selected to attend Boz'Art en Baz'Art, an international artists residency, in Bellrive, France for a second time.
A workshop, Painting the Landscape in Pastel, was given in Bellrive, France, By Knipe in May 2015.
The painting, Ilona's Garden, was included in the Eighty-Seventh Grand National Exhibition of the American Artists Professional League, Novenber, 2015, at the Salmagundi Club, NYC.
The Haitian Artists Pastel Project, created by Marianne Knipe, brought 100 lbs. of pastels and paper to Peition-Ville, Haiti for a pastel workshop. Several Pastels artists contributed: Anita Gladstone, Sue Ketcham, and Olya Powzaniuk. It was for the benefit of the artists of Promart Haiti, and president, Patrick Cauvin.
